Brazilian outfit Santos FC has petitioned FIFA to ban Neymar for six months claiming that the Barcelona striker violated FIFA disciplinary codes and is seeking €55 million in compensation and damages.

Santos FC president, Modesto Roma, was seen crying last may during a press conference whilst talking about Neymar’s case. Modesto pleaded that he was not “presenting a lawsuit against an idol,” but “asking for a favor to the club.”
In the lawsuit Santos is asking for Neymar to be suspended for six months from any official matches. The petition is based on the supposed violation of article 62 of FIFA’s disciplinary code in regards to corruption. Santos is accusing Neymar of ill faith and of non-compliance of the player transfer bylaws.
