Boca Jrs defeat Rosario Central 2-0 to claim their second championship in the span of four days. Nicolás Lodeiro, with a dubious penalty kick, and Andrés Chávez scored the winning goals to give the ‘Xeneizes’ the Argentine Cup at the Mario Kempes arena.
“What we achieved is very important, it was a final and we always have to win them. Today we showed why we are Champions of everything. This is what we proposed and were able to do fulfill,” Boca striker Carlos Tevez said after the match.
“We need to get used to this. They said that Central was the best team in Argentina and we gave them a class in experience. Today we saw in the field a team with authority and we demonstrated that,” finalized Tevez. “This was hard fought, they play very good but I feel we are just winner,” added Lodeiro.
