Louis Van Gaal’s Scoring Woes

Manchester United’s scoreless draw against Crystal Palace was the third match in a row that the ‘Red Devils’ failed to find the back of the net prompting manager Louis Van Gaal to voice his concerns.

After the match the Dutchman said “of course [it’s worrying], but today when you are not creating so many chances you cannot complain. Against Mboro I thought we had chances to finish, so that is of more concern. But today we had no chances to win it.”

“I don’t think [it’s mental]. When I see the characters, I don’t think they have doubt about their quality. They need one match, and I hope that’s against CSKA Moscow because we need the victory,” continued Van Gaal.

The under pressure United manager is hoping that the match up against CSKA in Champions League action can get his squad back to their scoring ways. “I’m very experienced, and I know we have to recover, recover, recover. I can only speak in meetings and in private meetings. We hope we can score against Moscow because we need to win.”
