U.S Opens World Cup Qualifying Campaign with Lopsided Win over St. Vincent and the Grenadines

ST. LOUIS, Missouri (Nov. 13, 2015) – The U.S. Men’s National Team began 2018 World Cup Qualifying with a big 6-1 win against St. Vincent and the Grenadines at a packed Busch Stadium.

The 43,433 fans on hand – the largest crowd to attend at U.S. National Team match in the history of the State of Missouri – watched as Jozy Altidore led the USA with two goals. Bobby Wood, Fabian Johnson, Geoff Cameron and Gyasi Zardes also found the back of the net for the MNT, while youngsters Matt Miazga and Darlington Nagbe became officially cap tied to the USA when they entered the match as second half subs.

The USA next plays Trinidad & Tobago on the road in Port of Spain on Tuesday, Nov. 17. That match, the second World Cup Qualifier for the USA in this cycle, is scheduled to begin at 6:25 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on beIN Sport and NBC Universo.
