LA Galaxy rout DC United in MLS Season Opener 2016

In front of a home crowd of 25,667, LA Galaxy routed DC United 4-1 in their MLS 2016 season home opener after early injuries to Dan Kennedy and Giovani dos Santos.

The festivities did not start well for LA Galaxy as they conceded an early goal to DC United that was placed to the left of Galaxy GK Kennedy, by Lamar Neagle.

Neagle’s go-ahead goal proved to not be decisive as DC United coach Ben Olsen vowed his team would “lick our wounds and get back out there next week” after the Galaxy comeback rout.
