Another great discussion yesterday, about the Mexican national team and it’s up coming game in Belgium. We talked Mexican players going to MLS, including whether Chicharito will go to LA or Chivas. We discussed if an athlete should drink or do things that could impede their abilities as a player. Then went into some WC history and reminiscing.

Ep. 106: CantinaMX Futbol Podcast – USMNT is out of Men’s World Cup! Shock? Smiles?

What a crazy night to podcast! We started streaming live as the CONMEBOL qualifying was finalizing and at halftime of the CONCACAF qualifying and what a night it was. Our panel was shocked and surprised to see goal after goal drop as Honduras came back to beat Mexico and Panama did the same vs Costa Rica. As a result the US are eliminated as they failed to beat T&T.

We had a surprise visit from Martin del Palacio and we talked about the future for Mexico in the World Cup. Also what this means for the US team.

Crazy night of soccer, fun discussion! Take a listen!

In what was going to be a short and quick episode, we ended up going 2.5 hours. We talked the earthquakes in Mexico and inspiring reaction from the Mexican people. We had a caller request via twitter to join the conversation. Joel joined and asked a question on youth development in the US. We discussed physical strength v ball skill and the ongoing question of if NFL/NBA players were to play soccer growing up instead, how would US soccer be.

We also discussed Cuauhtemoc’s visit to Futbol Picante!

Ep. 102: CantinaMX Futbol Podcast – Qualified with ease.

We talk the El Tri qualifying for Russia 2018, as well as the possibility the US pulls a stunner and gets eliminated. We also discuss the possible scenarios for WC pods and Mexico’s group chances. We talk Chivas and a possible crisis as they lose bad to MTY and Jair gets nutmegged by a canterano. We also discuss America and almost all the clubs in the League. We also discus Leon as requested by Richard on our live chat. The great state of Guanajuato. Highly recommend a visit! Enjoy the episode!

Ep. 96: CantinaMX Futbol Podcast – Special Monday night “Focos rojos” edition

Probably the best show we have had yet. The Mexico loss to Jamaica brought a lot of inside feelings to the forefront. The idea of Europe being overrated for Mexicans to play and doesn’t benefit the NT. Osorio not being able to solve the bunker. Not taking advantage of this “Golden Generation” that is getting older. Even predictions of Mexico failing to make it past group stage in Russia next year.

At end of podcast we also discuss LigaMX week 1.

A passionate episode! Enjoy!
