Ep. 111: CantinaMX Futbol Podcast – In game Live podcast, #BELMEX

We got together to podcast during the Belgium v Mexico game and after a slow 1st half, the 2nd have and Chucky Lozano show took over. While we watched the game, we discussed the tactics, player positioning and JCO strategies. Rotations were part of the convo, as well as a load of other El Tri topics. Another great discussion yesterday, about the Mexican national team and it’s up coming game in Belgium. We talked Mexican players going to MLS, including whether Chicharito will go to LA or Chivas. We discussed if an athlete should drink or do things that could impede their abilities as a player. Then went into some WC history and reminiscing.

Mexico and Belgium meet for 3rd place

Vina del Mar, Chile — Mexico earned 4th place in the FIFA U17 World Cup Chile 2015 as they fall to Belgium 2-3. Ending what had been a promising run in the tournament.

El Tri Coach Mario Arteaga expressed his disappointment at not achieving his tournament objectives. “Our goal in Chile was to win the championship and of course we’re not happy with the fourth place but that is football. After the semi-final the disappointment was big but today we wanted to win the medal.”

Belgian U17 coach Bob Browaeys stated “And now it is for the first time a bronze medal. Thanks to Chile and the organisers. It is an amazing moment for us”
